What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Similar browser storage, such as localStorage, can remember preferences or temporary website data on your device. These tools help the site function, remember choices, protect forms and measure website usage when permitted.
How FauxHQ uses cookies and storage
- Essential operation: to keep navigation, forms, security and consent controls working.
- Inquiry list storage: selected products are saved in your browser so you can review them before sending a quote request.
- Consent storage: your cookie banner choice is stored so we can remember whether you accepted or rejected tracking.
- Campaign attribution: UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers may be stored so inquiry records can show which campaign or link led to the request.
- Analytics and advertising measurement: Google Analytics and advertising pixels, when enabled, help us understand page views, product interest and inquiry performance.
- Anti-spam and security: Cloudflare tools, including Turnstile when shown on forms, help protect the website from automated abuse.
Consent categories
- Essential storage: required for site security, consent memory, navigation and inquiry-list functionality.
- Analytics storage: used only after acceptance to understand page visits, product interest and inquiry performance.
- Advertising storage: used only after acceptance when advertising pixels or campaign measurement are enabled.
- Security storage: used to reduce spam, protect forms and keep the website available.
Current storage examples
- fauxhq.cookieConsent: remembers whether tracking was accepted or rejected.
- fauxhq.inquiry: stores selected product references in your browser before inquiry submission.
- Google Analytics cookies: may measure page usage when tracking is accepted.
- Cloudflare security storage: may support anti-abuse, rate limiting and Turnstile verification.
Analytics and advertising measurement
Google Analytics and advertising pixels may use cookies or similar technologies to measure website usage, product-detail views, inquiry-list actions and submitted lead forms. Measurement information is used to improve pages, navigation, inquiry flow and campaign quality. By default, non-essential analytics and advertising storage are denied until accepted through the cookie banner.
Your choices
You can reject tracking in the cookie banner, or block and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some storage may affect features such as the inquiry list, consent memory or form protection. You can also use browser privacy tools, Google controls and advertising platform controls to limit measurement.
Changing your choice
Use the reset button above to clear this site's consent choice and show the banner again. You can also clear this site's browser storage manually in your browser settings.
